Bergslagen symphony orchestra has nominated Stefan Klaverdal as Composer of the Year! A number of chamber music pieces by Klaverdal will be performed during the festival week, finishing with the premiere of a newly written concerto for laptop and orchestra.

First performance of Rytmikon for unspecified ensemble – commissioned by Lund University to the 50-year celebration of the eurythmics class at the Malmö Academy of Music. The piece is choreographed by eurythmics professor Ann-Krestin Vernersson.

First performance of price-winning work Attack Music (later re-named to Consensus Music) by ContemporarY Ensemble in the concert Open Call where the winning works of a call for score are presented.

First performance of ”He fell to the ground” at Haydn celebration

First performance of He fell to the ground for chamber orchestra, celebrating Haydn. The piece draws inspiration from Haydns 103rd symphony, and is composed on commission to Malmö Kammarorkester (Malmö Chamber orchestra), conducted by Alexander Einarsson.

In the same concert several electronic pieces will be performed, as well as versions of all 104 symphonies by Haydn.

The concert will also be recorded for later broadcast of Swedish Radio P2
